Ghettosocks makes raps and beats. Get Some Friends is the first official album by Ghettosocks - Halifax’s own Tony Bennett of the rap game. Putting the ‘RA’ back in ‘RAP’, Socks lyrically pushes, shoves, romances, and shoplifts his way on the mic and explores fresh new terrain across vivid Hip Hop landscapes.

- Ghettosocks’, “Step To A T-Rex” was nominated for “ECMA Hip Hop Single of the Year ‘07”.

- Notable live performances over the past while include the ‘05 ECMA-partnered Underground Hip Hop Showcase (Charlottetown), ’05 Juno Awards Hip Hop Stage (Halifax), ‘05 Under Pressure Festival (Montreal), the first annual One UP Festival (Calgary), as well as winning the ‘06 DJ Olympics MC Battle.

- Ghettosocks has recently performed along side the likes of, ’The Father of Hip Hop’, Kool Herc, ‘The Infamous Chigago Freestyle Battler’ Juice, J-Live (NYC), Edan (Boston). and Eternia (Toronto).

- ‘City Life’ from Get Some Friends, features guest vocals from Classified (who has worked with Maestro, and Tash from Tha Liks) and Loe Pesci (formerly of Euphrates).
